Mark your calendars for Saturday, June 8, 2024, as Queen Creek welcomes its newest gem, Frontier Family Park. Open daily from 5:30 a.m. to 10 p.m., this park is set to become a favorite destination for sports and recreation enthusiasts.
- Three lighted multi-purpose fields perfect for soccer, lacrosse, and more.
- Six lighted baseball/softball fields with 315′ fences, ideal for local leagues and tournaments.
- Twenty-four lighted pickleball courts, making it a pickleball paradise.
- Two lighted sand volleyball courts and two lighted basketball courts for volleyball and basketball fans.
- One inclusive playground similar to Mansel Carter Oasis Park, ensuring fun for children of all abilities.
- Ten picnic ramadas (including two corporate ramadas) and two large-group picnic ramadas for family gatherings and corporate events.
- 5-acre fishing lake, requiring a fishing license for anyone aged 10 and over.
- ADA access and ample parking to accommodate all visitors.
Don’t miss the Splash Pad, open from 9 a.m. to 7 p.m. in March, April, and October, and from 8 a.m. to 9 p.m. in May, June, July, and September.
2. Desert Mountain Park: Award-Winning and Family-Friendly
Desert Mountain Park, located at 22201 S. Hawes Road, is open from 7 a.m. to 10 p.m. daily. This 29-acre, award-winning park is designed to cater to a wide range of recreational activities.
- Two lighted multi-purpose fields for various sports.
- Four lighted Little League fields for budding baseball stars.
- Three playgrounds including one for ages 2-5, one for ages 5-12, and an interpretive playground.
- Two sand volleyball courts with a sprinkler system to keep the sand cool.
- Two lighted basketball courts for basketball enthusiasts.
- Eight picnic ramadas and one large-group ramada for picnics and parties.
- An amphitheater with seating for 150-200 people.
- A demonstration garden and an equestrian staging area.

Founders’ Park, located at 22407 S. Ellsworth Road, is a vibrant 11-acre park in the heart of Queen Creek. Open from 7 a.m. to 10 p.m., this park hosts numerous community events, including Founders’ Day.
- One lighted softball field and one lighted multi-purpose field.

4. Mansel Carter Oasis Park: Award-Winning and Inclusive
Mansel Carter Oasis Park, at 19535 E. Appleby Road, is a 48-acre award-winning park with diverse amenities. Open from 7 a.m. to 10 p.m., it offers something for everyone.
- Two lighted multi-purpose fields and four lighted baseball fields.
- A centrally located playground and an inclusive playground.
- A pump track and wheel-friendly skate plaza.
- Two sand volleyball courts and two lighted basketball courts.
- A 5-acre fishing lake and a peninsula with a rock waterfall, requiring a fishing license for anyone 10 and over.
- Eight picnic ramadas, including two large-group ramadas.
- A sand discovery dig zone and a shipwreck-themed splash pad.
- Three fitness pods, equestrian hitch post, and wash trail access.
- Three restroom facilities (two family restrooms), ADA access, and ample parking.
5. Pocket Park for Pups: A Paradise for Dogs
Located at 22526 S. Ellsworth Road, Pocket Park for Pups is Queen Creek’s dedicated dog park. Open from 7 a.m. to 10 p.m. (except Tuesdays, when it opens at noon), this one-acre, lighted park offers:
